My Rank?

I got this hydration bladder for my tactical vest I picked up for an upcoming Airsoft game [YAKEDA Tactical CS Field Vest Outdoor Ultra-light Breathable Combat Training Vest For Adults 600D Encryption Polyester-VT-1063].  In all fairness, this was my very first and didn’t have much to compare it to, however, this is a great opportunity for a ‘fresh’ review on virgin eyes right?

It came in a rather standard packaging, along with some other products I ordered from Amazon.  So the packaging was solid.  It’s a very straightforward product at the end of the day.

There’s a large spout at the top that’s super easy to fill.  This was actually one of the things I was on the lookout for when shopping.  Another was the quick disconnects at both ends of the hose.

Once filled and tested, it felt quite good in my vest… almost like a full spine lumbar’ish support.  Clearly too, the weight of the water was going to force (or not) the water through the tube.

The mouthpiece took a bit to figure out, as it was just a counter-clockwise twist to open, and clockwise to close (but having never had one, I thought it was like a sports bottle that you grabbed with your teeth, and pulled straight out).

On the field, it performed very well.  Being a 6′ guy at around 225lbs, when I took a couple of ‘tactical rolls’ (also known as tripping while going down a hill and rolling over on my back, hoping nobody saw me)… it held up like a champ.   I got compliments too from the guys on how cool it looked (I guess that’s a good thing too).  The hose almost looks like paracord, but it’s not.

Ultimately...
This is a great little bladder that holds a LOT of liquid. It can take a beating, and keep on going.
