Lancer Tactical Airsoft Safety Eye Protection Full Seal Foam Pad Vented Goggles
I found that by using these goggles, I had a love/hate relationship with them. But like any relationship, it has its ups and downs, and you figure out more about them as you go.
To that end, they performed beautifully during my 3 hour game yesterday. It’s hard to tell from the description on Amazon, but this comes with a built-in pouch that, when not in use helps to protect the glasses, and when using them covers the clasp in the back, which protects your bare neck.
Before the game even started, I was fogging this bad-boys up. I bought them because they were ‘vented’ — and while yes, there were small slits all across the top and bottom of these, it wasn’t nearly enough to let out the heat I was already creating.
That was…until I asked one of the guys for some anti-fog spray. He was quick to point out that he loved his Lancer goggles because of the vents. He then showed me that the ‘vents’ could pop-out more so than they were — I quickly removed both top vents (not the bottom ones) and all was fine.
After three hours of play, the foam was entirely soaked in sweat. I’m unsure how any material would do in this situation, as I’ve never had another mask to compare it to. If there are better solutions, then taking it off and trying to squeeze it out, please let me know in the comments.
These were very comfortable overall.
